Members are encouraged to read the Panorama newsletter online as a way to save money; this change can free up enough money so that a third newsletter will be possible. For those who feel that you need a mailed hard copy, you must request it.
Members who participate in the Humana Medicare Advantage health plan should sign up for the Go365 Wellness and Rewards program. You can earn gift cards for certain activities and health tests that you undergo.
Julia Thorn (Carteret) is Region 7B's 2022 Top Volunteer of the Year with 1,746.15 hours.
The 2023 State Convention will be held at the Hilton Garden Inn and DoubleTree by Hilton in Cary on March 8-9, 2023, as a hybrid event (in person and virtual). Sheila Mendoza is representing Region 7B on the Convention Committee.

NCRSP has a new State Communication Committee Chair, Gretchen Lampe, who is a former UniServ Director. Her strengths are writing grants and working with websites and Facebook and other forms of communication.
The 2021 7B Volunteer of the Year is Nancy Ustach of Carteret County RSP. She volunteered 1,195 hours which translates into a value of $35,105!

modern look for the opening page. There will be three issues this year. Members will receive a mailed copy of the first issue but to continue receiving a paper copy, members must opt into it. If you prefer to receive a hard mailed copy, you MUST send your request to the following email address: [email protected]
Members without email accounts will automatically receive it by mail.

7B welcomes three new local Presidents: Julia Thorn (Carteret), Kenneth Bennett (Johnston) and Kathy Drew (Wayne).
The new Legislative Chair for the state is Colleen Lanier and Barbara Anderson is the State PAC Chair.
Jackie Wooten, a member of the Carteret unit and formerly of Pitt, is the new 7B Legislative Chair. Political action is near to her heart. She is also serving as Quality of Life Chair and Legislative Chair for Carteret.
NCRSP continues to support the NC Foundation for Public School Children. Please remember to make a donation to the Foundation.
Four volunteer forms are done on the local level: (1) Form A, the Individual Community Service
Hours Record, is due to the local unit CS Chair by January 15, 2023; (2) Form B, the Local Unit
Volunteer Hours Report, is due to the Region CS Chair by January 29, 2023; (3) Form C, the Local
Top Volunteer for 2022 with signatures, requiring the volunteer’s contact information, is due to
the Region CS Chair by January 29, 2023; (4) Form D, the Local Unit CS Activities, is due to the
Region CS Chair by January 29, 2023.
